The jailbreak world is abuzz today, as hacker i0n1c has shown on video what is now called the CyberElevat0r jailbreak, an untethered jailbreak for iOS 7.1.1. This jailbreak is demoed on the iPhone 5c that i0n1c showed off in a tweet early this week.
The video shows that the jailbroken device is on 7.1.1, and i0n1c even reboots the device on camera to show that the jailbreak is untethered. Watch below:
Now, before anyone gets too excited, i0n1c has stated that this jailbreak will not be released publicly. However, other well known members of the community like winocm have showed that an iOS 7.1.1 untethered jailbreak is possible. With the proximity of iOS 8 though, it is likely that any large exploits will be saved for the release of the new version of iOS 8.
