Recent rumors indicate that Apple’s new Touch ID technology may be coming to their desktop and laptop computers. Apple.Club.tw the blog that showed proof of Touch ID integration the iPad prior to its release states that Apple intends to bring Touch ID to their Mac products in hopes of also expanding Apple Pay.

Reports state that the first integration will be seen above the trackpad in the new 12 inch retina Macbook Air which is rumored to be revealed soon. It would then make sense that the rest of their variations of laptops followed. For their desktop line it is predicted that the Touch ID sensor will be integrated into the magic mouse or trackpad itself.

Over the last few months Apple has been working hard on adoption of their payment system and it only seems fitting that they would want to bring it to as many of their products as possible. While they sell quite a bit more iPhones than Macs, there is still a large market for online shopping from home.
